Here is what to ask when booking a mobile DJ for an event...

• Ask for references. It's the most important thing you can do.
• Know who your DJ will be. Experience is the key.
• Choose company that will help coordinate the details of your special evening.
• Create a time line for the evening and then stick with it.
• Make sure your DJ will be dressed appropriately. Full tuxedo for a black tie affair is expected. Khaki's and sport coat may be appropriate for an outdoor event.
• Expect to pay up to $150 per hour for a reputable DJ service
• Book early. At least six months in advance is suggested, but a year in advance in not too early.
